Go to www.microsoft.com, search on Visual C++ 2010 Express edition. Download and install.

Locate

It will be stored on C drive. Locate Program Files on C drive (32 or 64 bit directories depending upon your system).

Click on the directory titled Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0 and you will see something similar to the following directories

Open

Click on the Comm7 subdirectory, then the IDE subdirectory. You will see a screen similar to the following

Select the application VCExpress and the following Start Page screen will appear

Select New Project and the following screen appears. The remainder is covered in class
