The objective is to build some sophisticated robots and then use them in competitions. Field trips will be involved. Presentations will be given on topics not covered in the Mobile Robotics course. These will include such items as the architecture of the Motorola board used in Rug Warrior Pro robot, and other languages for the robots such as assembly. Contests that students may participate in include those in the Science Olympiad: Robo Billiards, and Robot Ramble.

The club is open to students in grades 6 through 12 with permission of the sponsor.

Prerequisites include an interest in computer science and an effort evaluation of at least 3 for the previous 2 marking periods (students in grades 8-12) or a marking of at least a 2 on the last behavioral expectation grade (students in grades 8-12). Students should also be interested in competing in computer science contests such as those listed above.
